The vision of a new Or Akiva municipal building is part of the continuous goal of the city to materialize the eminent potential of the town as a progressive and advanced urban center.

The building shall be a direct continuation of the successful architecture already displayed in the cultural precinct. The language and planning strategy will form part of a greater urban planning strategy already devised to connect the city center and the main north-south axis.

The aqua duct arches resemble the famous caesarian ruins not far from the city. The historical reference depicts the relation to the vernacular history of the area. The main building’s shape forms a conical shape allowing a vantage point view and various uses of internal spaces in accordance with orientation.

Building materials are of local vernacular comprising the concrete framework with stone cladding. Expression of the rough stone is found at lower levels and upper levels with a smooth finish.
